Okay, first of all:
4,000 WORDS AWRIGHT. I'm done with the rough draft for Extended Essay. =DDDD Now, I just have to finish off some bio and English, and I'll be all done~
Next of all:
35,242 WORDS OH SHIT.
.... yeah, I failed JulNoWriMo. : (
I really did try, but the last few days, it was getting to be so hectic and there was no way i could catch up and still stay up with reviews on YWS and my homework and all.
But still! I figure for a story with very little planning and basically no mental preparation, I did pretty well. It'll got much better when I do real NaNo, because then I'll be prepared for it, and besides, I'll see
thecactushead everyday and she can give me a cactus beating if I give up. XD I now have a half-finished draft of TTwT that I can finish at my leisure, and that's always a good thing. (I suddenly noticed how the abrieviation for The Trouble With Titanium looks like a crying face. That's... not a good omen.)
The best thing about JulNo, though, was that it gave me a really good chance to enjoy writing again, after spending so long struggling with The Zeritthia Trilogy and feeling like I just wasn't good enough and being hugely envious of other people's writing and other ANGSTY things. I'm starting to rediscover a little of the joy in TZT now, starting to remember why I've spent so long writing it in the first place...
The thing is, deep down, I really do love TZT, even if I know I shouldn't. Well, I say I love it, and then I hate it, and then deep down I love it. It has three layers, and the third layer is the same as the first one. Like a pie. (Dr. Horrible reference ftw, y/y?) I think my love for TZT has a lot to do with Assembly, and the other way around. TZT is just... I suppose it's so much more idealistic. I mean, it's sort of an Earn Your Happy Ending Story and deep down all the protagonists are nakama and... I dunno. I suppose that sort of thing doesn't make for great literature, but I feel like TZT is just... it's more honest, more joyful, more... hell, I dunno. XD On the other hand, sometimes I feel like I'm trying to be a little too "hip" with Assembly, that it's all sort of tragedy for the sake of tragedy. It really is kind of a giant angstfest. XD
... spell check in firefox is so weird. Is angstfest really a word...?
Well, probably the real reason I like TZT so much is that it's got Sae and Attaraya and Kagami in it, but whatever. XD
Aaaand that's my incoherent rant for the day. XD
